Individual Therapy

Individual therapy for adults (18+) in Melbourne navigating complexity in mental health, identity, relationships, and life transitions. Sessions are available in person in Richmond and via telehealth across Australia.

If you are wondering whether you need a psychologist, a psychiatrist, or both — this is something Bec is happy to discuss at the initial phone consultation. You can also find more information in the FAQs.

Therapeutic Approach

Bec works integratively, grounding her practice in relational, trauma-informed, and neurodivergence-affirming principles. Bec’s approach places particular emphasis on emotional literacy, self-compassion, grief processing, and the capacity to hold complexity.

A note on neurodivergence: Bec has particular experience working with autistic adults and adults with ADHD — whether formally diagnosed or still making sense of their experience. Therapy is adapted to your presentation, not the other way around.

Her primary approaches include:

  • Exploring the patterns formed early in life that shape how you relate to yourself and others, and building genuine capacity for change rather than surface-level symptom management

  • A well-researched method for processing distressing memories and trauma, so that the past no longer intrudes on the present in the same way

  • Working with the different sides of yourself with curiosity and compassion, rather than trying to get rid of parts that have been protecting you

  • Developing psychological flexibility, clarifying what matters to you, and building a life more consistent with your values

  • Practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and navigating relationships

  • Where a structured, skills-based approach is the right fit

  • Supporting change that is genuinely yours, not imposed from the outside

Focus Areas

Bec works with a range of presentations, including complex and chronic difficulties. Some presentations may require a higher level of care, a multidisciplinary team, or more intensive support — this is something Bec will discuss openly at the initial phone consultation or during the course of therapy. Where a referral to another service is clinically indicated, Bec will support you in accessing appropriate care.
